About Schedule Builder

Schedule Builder is a lightweight browser tool for turning classes, work blocks, shifts, appointments, and personal routines into a clear weekly plan.

Why Schedule Builder exists

A calendar can show what happened, while a useful schedule helps you decide what fits next. Schedule Builder exists for the moment when a blank page is too vague and an enterprise planning system is too heavy. The online schedule builder puts a working week, a simple block form, conflict checks, and practical exports in one place.

The project is designed for students, independent workers, families, small teams, and anyone who wants to see the shape of a week before committing to it. The goal is not to automate every decision. It is to make the important decisions visible: what is happening, how long it takes, what overlaps, and where open time remains.

What the tool does

The homepage includes Weekly, Class, Work, and Shift modes. You can add a block with a title, day, start time, end time, color, location, notes, and a simple repeat rule. The weekly grid makes the result easy to scan, while the summary shows planned hours, open gaps, and overlapping blocks.

Schedule Builder also supports print / PDF output, PNG snapshots, ICS calendar files, CSV tables, and JSON backups. These formats serve different moments: a printed page for a desk, a PNG for a quick message, ICS for a calendar import, CSV for spreadsheet cleanup, and JSON for preserving the editable data.

A focused browser-first workflow

The basic planning workflow does not require an account. A draft can stay in local browser storage on the current device, and the core interface is intended to work without a server-side schedule database. This keeps the first use quick and avoids asking people to create an account before they know whether the tool fits their task.

Local storage is not cloud synchronization. Users should export a backup before clearing browser data, changing devices, or relying on a schedule for an important class, shift, meeting, or appointment.

What the tool does not claim

Schedule Builder is not a payroll system, attendance tracker, university course catalog, labor-law engine, approval workflow, or automatic team roster. It can show the structure you enter and flag time overlaps, but it cannot know your employer's policies, campus availability, travel time, staffing requirements, or personal energy limits. Treat the result as a planning aid and verify important commitments with the official source.
